Cameras

This is where you will find our range of cameras for astronomical imaging. It includes cameras for long exposure deep sky imaging, high frame rate solar system imaging, both colour and monochome. We have chosen this range of cameras based on value and performance.

Although we have divided this section up into Deep Sky, Solar System and Guide Cameras, this does not make the cameras mutually exclusive. Some cameras may belong to multiple groups. Many of the new generation of CMOS cameras are dual purpose and there is a growing trend of using high frame rate Solar System Cameras for deep sky imaging by combining thousands of very short exposures.

If you have any questions relating to any of the cameras listed, please contact us for more information.

Deep Sky Cameras

Deep Sky Cameras

Colour and Mono cameras that are aimed at imaging deep sky objects. These cameras are typically cooled, feature larger sensors and capable of long exposure times

Solar System Cameras

Solar System Cameras

These cameras are high frame rate cameras inteded for 'luck imaging' applications where the video taken will be split into frames and stacked. These cameras can also be used for deep sky objects in a limited sense

Guide Cameras

Guide Cameras

A range of cameras that a primarily intended for guiding applications. These cameras can also be used to get started with solar, lunar and planetary imaging

Camera Accessories

Camera Accessories

Accessories to optimise cameras or add additional functionality. This ranges from mounting options to filter wheels and other components
