This half pier is supplied as a detachable column that is 140mm high by 80mm in diameter. This has a female and male thread. The thread is a dual M10 and 3/8" type. This part of the Half Pier can be used on its own with conventional tripods to provide 140mm of additional clearance.
The separate base provides an additional 40mm of height. This also has female and male dual M10 and 3/8" threads. In addition this provides a shoulder and Azimuth Pin recess to allow the base to be fitted on to HEQ5 and similar tripods which typically have an M10 thread.
