The 2" APM Telescopes 30mm UltraFlat Field Eyepiece offers high quality in a very compact package. The design is optimised to remove field curvature, resulting in a flat, distortion-free image right up to the edge of the visible field of view. This is acheived even in very low focal ratio systems as low as F4. The eyepiece has oversized lenses for the largest possible field of view and a 22mm eyerelief making it equally suitable for spectacle wearers. The foldable rubber eye gaurd allows for comfortable use, keeping stray light to a minimum.
All lenses (9 elements in 5 groups) have a braod-band-multicoating (FMC) and blackened lens edges. The nosepiece is threaded for 2 "filters. This eyepiece is ideal for optics of medium or long focal length. It also features an M45 thread under the rubber eye gaurd for the attachement of a digiscoping adapter.
The APM UFF range of eyepieces offer quality comparable to reference products like the TeleVue Panaoptic but at a much lower price.
