Lunt Solar Systems does everything possible to match the quality of each optical component in its systems for maximum performance. For the visual observers they designed a high quality zoom eyepiece. This excellent zoom eyepiece offers not only high quality views of the sun, but also night time objects. Reflections are minimized by excellent multicoatings and a carefully designed internal baffle system and blackened lens edges. The zoom is not the widest field zoom on the market but performs extremely well. The zoom is almost perfect parfocal, from one end to the other you need only 0.5mm to refocus. The image is sharp across the entire field of view without any visible distortion. The zoom also has a very nice height adjustable eyeguard to protect your eye against day light reflections and to help you to find the perfect eye position.
