Ibis Monolith Carbon Tripod 50kg Capacity

The Ibis Monolith is a professional grade carbon fibre tripod offering up to 50kg load capacity. It features 40mm diameter main legs utilising an 8 layer carbon fibre layer technology. As a result the Monolith tripod weighs only 2.9kg.

Mounting to the Monolith is by way of a 3/8" screw onto a wide top plate. This top plate is removable and can also be rotated in 120° increments.

The Monolith is ideal for use with larger components such as small mounts, giant binoculars or larger camera systems. We feel the tripod is particularly well matched to the Crux 140 Traveller mount as when packed the tripod is only 560mm long and so very easily packed for travelling.

When extended, the Monolith provides a maximum height of 1.56m via use of its 4 leg sections. Due to the larger top section, even the smallest section is still 30mm, therby providing very good stability even when fully extended.

Included with the Monolith Tripod are a set of Steel Spikes to replace the standard rubber feet and a padded carrying case.

For the price we feel the Monolith offers outstanding value. It's build quality is first rate. The thick carbon legs offer not only light weight but also high rigidity and excellent vibration resistance. We highly recommend the Monolith for use with the Crux 140 and Crux 170 Harmonic Gear Mounts.
