With a useful aperture of 70mm and a focal length of 400mm (F5.7), the Tecnosky Sharp Guide 70 lends itself well to guiding focal lengths up to 1700mm. The 70mm Achromat doublet is fully multi-coated. Thanks to its more conservative focal ratio, chromatic aberration is kept under control. Due to this the scope offers the possibility of also being able to serve as a small travel telescope or spotting scope when used with a suitable diagonal. In addition to the "non-rotating" helical focuser, there is a threaded ring nut near the doublet cell which allows the tub to be extended, thus allowing the use of diagonals, flip-mirrors and other accessories.
Included with the scope are a pair of tube rings and a plate compatible with Skywatcher, Celestron, Orion, GSO etc. On the tube there are also 2 threaded holes which allow you to directly mount a Vixen GP format plate and have a more solid support both as a guide telescope or as a travel telescope.
