Like the spectroscope the product is well made and has a good manual. Whether the extra cost is justifiable I am not sure. I think Shelyak could price the module at the same as the Alpy600 module.

The guide module although not essential makes using the Alpy spectroscope much easier to locate objects to put on the slit of the spectroscope. This makes recording faint stars easier as long as your mount can guide accurately to keep the star on the slit.
