Focusing is key to getting the best images in Astro Photography. Live view on a DSLR is an idela way to acheive this. However every little helps and a Bahtinov Mask will ensure you have the very best focus.

When you focus with one placed infron of your telescope ite will create difraction spikes. When the middle spike is exactly central to the other two, perfect focus has been achieved.
