A modular H-alpha Solar Telescope with 130mm aperture and <0.7 Angstrom bandwidth. With 2" Feather Touch focuser, new air-pressure tuning system and B1200 Blocking Filter, that provides less vignetting for imaging! The B1200 blocking filter is recommended as the minimum for imaging use with this focal length.

The Lunt Systems LS130THa is a complete Solar Telescope featuring a 130mm F7 Triplet Apochromatic Objective and 910mm focal length. It is modular in design. When combined with the optional night time and Calcium K accessories it provides you with the opportunity to view / image H-Alpha, Calcium-K and White Light / Continuum aspects of the Sun, together with observing and imaging of traditional night time targets.

The optional accessories for the LS130Tha are the LS130TBP&F Focuser and the Ca-K Calcium Module. These are also available as a package set.

The internal etalon feature air-pressure tuning adjustment while maintaining a <0.7 Angstrom bandwidth. This "Pressure Tuner" system allows a better Etalon adjustment than other systems. The “Pressure Tuner” system adapted the Etalon to varying altitudes and atmospheric pressures for always optimal performance.  This version is offered with a B1200 blocking filter mounted within the diagonal. The star diagonal is equipped as standard for 1.25" eyepieces and T2 camera connection. Fine adjustment is achieved with a Starlight Instruments 2" Feather Touch focuser with 1.5" travel and 10:1 reduction.

Imaging. Lunt Solar Telescopes are capable of superb imaging results. However remember that these telescopes are designed to filter out all light except that in the very narrow H-Alpha wavelength. If you attempt to image using an unmodified DSLR, you will get a poor image. This is because the standard filter in a DSLR blocks H-Alpha wavelengths. It is recommended that only DSLR's with the standard filters removed or replaced with H-Alpha pass filters are used for best results.
