QHY 268C Colour CMOS Cooled Camera APS-C (IMX571) 3.76µm

The QHY268C is in many ways the baby brother to the extreme QHY600C. Its IMX571 sensor featuring similar technology in the smaller APS-C format. Like the IMX455, the 571 is back illuminated (increased sensitivity and no residula bulk image) and natively 16bit for wide dynamic range. The small 3.76µm pixels provide high resolution and are well matched to shorter focal lengths scopes typically used for wide field imaging. Its physical format also make it an ideal combination for use with FASTAR equipped SCT's and the latest RASA systems.

Combined with zero amp glow and a heated chamber window, the QHY268C offers state of the art performance in the APS-C format.

It should be noted that unlike the mono QHY cameras, the 268C PRO does not feature a connector to power a QHY filter wheel. You may think that a filter wheel is unecessary, however it may be preferable to use the camera with Light Pollution, UV/IR or Multi-Spectral filters. As such a filter wheel becomes necessary. Use of a QHY wheel is easily accomodated through a simple Y splitter power cable or dedicated filter wheel power.
