APM 20mm XWA 100 Degree AFOV Eyepiece

The huge 100° field of view offered by theAPM Telescopes 20mm XWA eyepieces together with excellent contrast will leave you more than impressed after first light. The excellent engineering and fully multi-coated lens surfaces are suggestive of eyepieces costing £100's more. Indeed a 21mm 100 degree eyepiece from a certain well known manufacturer would cost you over £800! Other features of the eyepiece are low chromatic aberration and excellent contrast. The lens edges and internal spacers are fully blackened allowing flaring and ghosting on high-contrast objects to be eliminated.

The APM Telescopes XWA range of eyepieces are Nitrogen filled and waterproof. The 20mm features a 2" filter thread for easy attachment of filters. The rubber eye cup may be removed to reveal an M44.5 x 0.75 thread. This allows the eyepiece to be used for Afocal photography.

We feel this 20mm Eyepiece is well suited to viewing nebula as its huge field of view and high contrast allow large objects to be seen in detail yet viewed in context with their suroundings.
