The Lunt 152mm H-alpha Solar Telescope is a high resolution solar telescope with  <0.65 Angstrom bandwidth and B1200 Blocking filter

Supplied as standard with a 2" Starlight Instruments Feather Touch focuser, air-pressure tuning system and B1200 Blocking Filter. The LS152THa is ideal for imaging and observing. The large LS152THa is provides a professional balance of resolution and performance! This large solar telescope is perfect for the ambitious solar observer! If it's a perfect image you're after, the LS152THa provides a very large and high resolution image size. The 100% unobstructed system will perform to the highest level at both low and high magnifications. Utilizing both advanced hi-contrast coatings, and the new Doppler True Pressure Tuning system, the user will be able to experience crisp, sharp, high magnification visual images, as well as utilize this system for high end digital processes. An internal Etalon with new air-pressure tuning adjustment allows for a <0.65 Angstrom bandwidth. This "Pressure Tuner" system allows a better Etalon adjustment than other systems. The “Pressure Tuner” system adapts the Etalon to varying altitudes and atmospheric pressures for optimal performance. The star diagonal in which the blocking filter is installed, is equipped as standard for 1.25" eyepieces and with a T2 camera connection. Focusing is achieved with a high precision Starlight Instruments 2" Feather Touch focuser with 10:1 reduction as standard equipment. Other features of this superb Solar Telescope are;


Advanced Narrow Band Hydrogen-Alpha Dedicated System.

A refractor based system with a 152mm front objective.

An unobsructed internal HD Etalon with the new Pressure Tuner allowing for <0.65 Angstrom bandwidth, providing slightly higher surface detail without the loss of edge detail.

The system includes the moutning rings and dovetail, dust caps, and is delivered in an Aluminum re-enforced case.

A Lunt Zoom eyepiece is included.

Imaging. Lunt Solar Telescopes are capable of superb imaging results. However remember that these telescopes are designed to filter out all light except that in the very narrow H-Alpha wavelength. If you attempt to image using an unmodified DSLR, you will get a poor image. This is because the standard filter in a DSLR blocks H-Alpha wavelengths. It is recommended that only DSLR's with the standard filters removed or replaced with H-Alpha pass filters are used for best results.

We also recommend that in addition to Prime focus imaging by mounting the camera to the B1200 Blocking Filter directly, that eyepiece projection photography is tried for extreme close ups of the Sun. This can be achieved by using the B1200 Blocking Filter in conjunction with the Baader Hyperion eyepieces.
